Cal (キャル, Kyaru) is a cook for the knights of Reginleif Castle.
Appearance[]
Cal is a young man with dull green eyes and medium blonde bowl-cut hair. Despite claiming to never have held a sword before, he still carries one sheathed on his left hip.
Personality[]
Cal is timid and easily frightened by dangerous situations, having no self confidence in his own capability. Babbo observes him to be a rather "wimpy swordsmen". His sensitivity causes him to be prone to frequently cry out of frustration.
History[]
Second Great MÄR-Heaven War[]
Despite being a knight of Reginleif, Cal had no combat experience prior to the second war, merely serving as a cook. After the Chess invaded and conquered Reginleif Castle, Cal was the only surviving knight, and thus felt the duty of protecting the princess fell on him.
War Games[]
Ginta, Babbo, and Jack stumble upon Alibaba threatening the Princess of Reginleif as Cal attempts to defend her. Alibaba easily knocks the sword out of his hands with his arm, before grabbing Cal by the neck and tossing him aside. Briefly fainting, he awakens as Loco drags Alibaba away. The princess assures Cal that she is fine, and coldly tells him to not concern himself with her wellbeing any longer. The trio offer to listen to Cal's troubles over lunch at his home.
He tells them about the Hero ÄRM.
At the end of the series Cal and Princess Reginrave get married.
